Your golf stays on your devices.
Effective October 4, 2026. Applies to the Bit by Bit Golf app for iPhone and Apple Watch.
THE SHORT VERSION
- No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.
- Your rounds, shots, scores and settings are stored on your iPhone and Apple Watch, not on our servers.
- We only receive something if you choose to send us a bug report or a course request.
WHAT THE APP USES, AND WHY

BUG REPORTS AND COURSE REQUESTS
If you send one from the app (Me › Help), we receive what you type, plus the app version, your device model, its iOS or watchOS version and which screen you were on. You see all of it before you send.
It's filed as an issue in our project on GitHub (run by GitHub, Inc.) so we can track and fix it. Please don't include personal details you wouldn't want stored there. Nothing is sent unless you tap Send.
BETA SIGN-UPS AND EMAIL
If you email us to join the beta or ask for help, we use your name and email only to reply and to send your TestFlight invite through Apple. We don't add you to a mailing list.
COURSE DATA
Course maps are built into the app, so viewing a course doesn't contact anyone. Maps are made from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL) and USGS 3DEP lidar (public domain).
CHILDREN
The app isn't directed at children under 13, and it doesn't knowingly collect anything from them.
DELETING YOUR DATA
Delete a round from its recap screen, or delete the app to remove everything it stored. Workouts saved to Apple Health can be deleted in the Health app. To remove a bug report or course request you sent, contact us.
CHANGES
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its date. If the app ever starts sending your data anywhere new, the app will ask you first.
